News News News!

So, first of all: sorry for the absence! I'm very overloaded of work so I had to keep far from the blog more that I wanted. But here I am now and full of nice news!

What The Fake!? - Truckers Artbook

 It's finally ready for the shopping online the first artbook by Truckers!!!

What The Fake?! is an illustrated book based on popular and catchy urban legends. Every legend has been conceived like a movie script, summed up, processed and finally illustrated as a movie poster. Obviously these movies don't exist, but thanks to a graphic and iconographic research we tried to give them a "familiar look", so you can find references to b-movies, or 70's fliers, or composition with graphic and minimal design until realistic '80 illustrations. We added texts to the illustrations, and as for the pictures, we re-elaborated them, creating a sort of "narrative suggestions", just to make the reader empathize more with the whole legend.

 

 Each author made three illustrations, this is one of mines:

Lucca Comics&Games 2012 - TRUCKERS!

E' nato un nuovo gruppo di artiste qualche settimana fa, fatto tutte di ragazze matte del fumetto, grafica e illustrazione: le TRUCKERS. Siamo orgogliose di presentare il nostro progetto a Lucca Comics&Games 2012, speranzose che sia il primo di molti altri. La nostra intenzione è sicuramente di non deludere il pubblico e di fare qualcosa che delizi gli occhi, con qualità e professionalità. Per ora di cosa parli è ancora un "segreto", stiamo facendo levitare l'hype sulla nostra pagina FB :D

Qui sotto alcune delle prime preview che ogni giorno postiamo... se quindi vi abbiamo stuzzicato la fantasia, se siete interessati a scoprire cosa stiamo confabulando, se volete farvi due risate, se siete già fan di qualcuna di noi, cliccate "mi piace" e rimarrete costantemente aggiornati!

Sono aperte inoltre le prenotazioni in occasione della fiera: 

- la lista per le COMMISSIONS, per un totale di 4 posti (meglio pochi ma sicuri che avranno il disegno durante la fiera^^), che saranno tutte formato A3;

- allo stand, su interesse di chi chiederà, sarà possibile visionare e comprare anche tavole ORIGINALI;

- STAMPE, stampe stampe! :)

Finally I'm so happy to announce that a new art-group is born: the TRUCKERS! We're 8 artists, friends, comic-artists, illustrators, graphic designers, but above all...women. Yeah. Girls power? Evento CURRENT COMICS - 1 Agosto, Roma

La prima realtà a fumetti Lungo il Tevere!!!!

Associamoci in collaborazione con Su di giri S.r.l. presentano la serata a fumetti sul lungo Tevere.

Ospiti della serata sette fumettisti di caratura internazionale:
- Sara Pichelli
- David Messina
- Elena Casagrande
- Claudia Balboni
- Valerio Schiti
- Bruno Letizia
- Emanuel Simeoni

Gli artisti disegneranno sketch veloci che distribuiranno gratuitamente al pubblico partecipante alla serata al termine della quale verrà estratto un fortunato vincitore che si aggiudicherà l’illustrazione della fumettista Sara Pichelli.

PROGRAMMA DELLA SERATA:
- Ore 20.30:
Presentazione degli artisti e introduzione alla serata.
- Ore 21.00:
Sketch & Apericena.
Gli artisti inizieranno a disegnare gli sketch. Sarà possibile osservarli da vicino mentre sono a lavoro, o in alternativa seguirli sul maxischermo mentre gustate il vostro drink o partecipate al nostro buffet.
- Ore 23.00:
Estrazione del fortunato che si aggiudicherà un'illustrazione di Sara Pichelli

I'll be on Hack/Slash!

After a long time I've be absent from here, I'm happy to announce that soon I'll start to work with the Image Comics on the Hack/Slash series! Glad to draw those characters created by Tim Seeley and my friend Stefano Caselli...after all this years from I knew him, I have the opportunity to work on, it's like a circle closed.

Rieccomi tornare dopo mesi di latitanza sul blog, con un annuncio davvero piacevole: nei prossimi mesi mi troverete sulle pagine di Hack/slash per la Image Comics! Sono molto contenta di poter lavorare sui personaggi creati da Tim Seeley e Stefano Caselli, dopo tanti anni che ci siamo conosciuti in quel dì a Roma, presso lo studio di Trastevere... mi sembra come un cerchio che si sia chiuso!
Presto darò anche altre notizie interessanti sui miei traffici fumettistici! Smak! :)
